The Evil Within Aug 25, 2017 The Evil Within 2 – Echoes from the Past
Scattered throughout the world of The Evil Within 2, you can find whispers from the past – events that Sebastian would prefer to forget. One such whisper can be found in a rather nondescript house we explored during our recent hands-on time with the game. And it was through this whisper that we learned even more about Sebastian’s fractured mind – including new insights into Sebastian’s mental state after the events of the first game. This is just one of the many locations you can visit in Union if you choose to explore, and all of them will provide you with certain benefits, whether they are much-needed resources or (like this one) a deeper dive into the game’s lore. QUAKE Aug 23, 2016 id Software Smashes Three World Records
With a quarter-century of development under its proverbial belt, id Software isn’t just a pioneer in videogames but an innovator as well. Widely credited with not just creating but also popularizing the first-person-shooter genre, id continues to hit the target even today. DOOM released this year to critical acclaim from the community and media, and Quake Champions is set to make its mark on the competitive shooter space in 2017. But it’s not just the fans who have embraced id Software and its achievements. At this year’s Gamescom, id Software was recognized by the Guinness World Records with three records: longest-running FPS developer; longest-running FPS series (Wolfenstein); and longest-running eSports tournament (QuakeCon). We caught up with id Software’s studio director Tim Willits to get his thoughts on these momentous milestones. View
