Wisdom of Ancients - Sorcerer Control
Now that we’ve explored some deck building basics, it’s time to take a look at some good beginner decks in detail. One of the decks I’ve seen success with has been a Sorcerer Control deck. The Sorcerer deck, if you’ll recall, is the combination of Endurance (purple) and Intelligence (blue) cards. This means that we’re focusing heavily on spells and keeping ourselves alive. As I mentioned previously in our article on Advanced Deck Building Tips, I sometimes enjoy playing decks that look to control the early- and mid-game before taking over the game by playing haymaker after haymaker at the end. The following is the list I’m currently using and have been tweaking for the past week or so. View

Humans like to categorize and organize things. Our brains are wired to be really good at it. We experience a ton of information every day, and our brains process and organize a lot of it passively and instantaneously. At a basic level, there are categories of “don’t care about this right now” to “this is something I want to pay attention to.” This allows us to focus on the things we want or need to do without feeling overwhelmed by all the noise. For example, if we drive to work, we see thousands of objects but we automatically put some things into the “pay attention” category -- things like traffic signals, pedestrians, and other cars. View
