Before the incident, Redfall was a peaceful place.
After the incident, things on the island got… strange. We’re talking vampires, cultists, extradimensional portals to psychic realms. That kind of strange. Thankfully, a team of four intrepid heroes are taking a stand. You’ve met Layla, Jacob, and Remi, but do you know Devinder Crousley? He’s internet famous!
Meet Devinder Crousley – The Verified Cryptid Hunter
Cryptozoologist, self-taught inventor and online influencer, Devinder knows everything about things that some people don’t believe exist (such as the Mothman). He’s passionate about weird, wonderful and hidden creatures and wants to share that passion with the world.
Devinder headed to Redfall to promote his most recent book, “Like a Mothman to the Flame,” only to find himself trapped on the island, unable to stream to his loyal online fans. On the plus side, he finds that the homemade inventions he uses to track down cryptids finally work and are invaluable in the team’s struggle to take down the vampire gods.
Shock and Awe Your Enemies with Devinder’s Inventions
Arc Javelin
Devinder has an electrified javelin made of sports equipment and electronics called the Arc Javelin. Throwing the javelin sends out powerful bolts of electricity to stun and damage an enemy. This is handy if you need to stop vampires in their tracks so you or your teammates can stake them to death. You can also upgrade this ability so that the electricity chains and damages enemies within a designated area of effect.
Translocate
Quickly get from one place to another with Translocate. Activating this ability lets you throw Devinder’s Translocate Beacon. Activate the ability a second time and teleport to the beacon’s location. Allies can also use the beacon to teleport between two locations. The Translocate Beacon is great for evading or getting close to enemies, whichever is going to give you the upper hand in a tough fight. It can also help you and your teammates reach those hard-to-access spots.
Blacklight
The vampire gods have blocked out the sun, but vampires are still weak to light. UV light, in particular. UV light petrifies vampires and temporarily blinds humans. To take advantage of these enemy weaknesses, Devinder designed a light-bomb. Activate the ability to petrify or blind your enemies with a powerful burst of UV light, then stake them.
