Welcome back to Inside the Vault!

In case you missed it, we’re sharing a reminder with you about the Fallout 76 Public Test Server, which we recently reopened to kick off playtesting for our upcoming Fallout Worlds Update. We’ve also got details for you about a new Double S.C.O.R.E. Weekend that starts today. Read on to catch everything you need to know.

The Public Test Server is Back!

Earlier this week, we announced details about the Fallout Worlds Update, which is currently slated to arrive in September. We’re very excited to get this feature into your hands, because it’s going to give players a wide variety of new ways to experience Appalachia through two new game modes: Public World and Custom World. We’ve brought our next expansion for Daily Ops to the PTS as well, which includes a new weekend event, new locations, a new enemy group, and more!

New Experiences for Everyone

We’re always looking for new ways to amp up the fun in Fallout 76 for our entire playerbase, and “Public Worlds” mode in the Fallout Worlds Update is aiming to do just that. Public Worlds will be available to all Fallout 76 players, and they will bring themed selections of rules changes that will offer you specialized experiences in Appalachia. In both the PTS and the live game, we plan to rotate Public World themes regularly so that you can shake up your Fallout 76 play sessions. Build wherever and however you’d like with the “Happy Builder” Public World, dodge other players’ attacks and fire off your own in the hunt to claim their loot in the “High Risk” Public World, or jump sky high and take down nuked creatures from above in “Quantum World.” These are just a few of the Public World themes we plan to bring to the game when Fallout Worlds arrives.

Your World, Made to Order

Fallout Worlds will offer active Fallout 1st members methods to customize Private Worlds to their liking in the brand-new “Custom World” mode. Featuring a wide variety of in-depth server settings to choose among, you will be able to create an Appalachia that’s tailored to your liking. Build in previously restricted areas, turn up the difficulty on enemies, give yourself unlimited ammo, and much, much more! With dozens of settings to choose from and adjust, you can adapt the Wasteland to feel like home more than ever before.

New Daily Ops Expansion

In our latest update for Daily Ops, we’re adding new “Double Mutation” events, which crank up the difficulty for our most daring Dwellers by giving enemies twice the usual number of mutations. If you accept the challenge, however, you’ll receive additional goodies for your efforts, like more Legendary Cores, double the XP, and double the in-game currency rewards. We’ve also added three new locations, including the Arktos Pharma Lab, Watoga High School, and Uncanny Caverns, as well as the Communist enemy group.

Join Us in the Test Server!

If you’re eager to head into the PTS to give Fallout Worlds a shot, we highly encourage you to read through our Fallout Worlds Announcement article on Bethesda.net to catch even more details about the feature as you head in-game to playtest. In addition, you can read through our Fallout Worlds PTS Update Notes to learn everything you need to know about what’s available for playtesting right now in the PTS.

If you own Fallout 76 on Bethesda.net, you can download the Public Test Server to start checking out the new features right away. We look forward to your feedback and bug reports, which you can share with us by joining PTS channels in the official Bethesda Studios Discord Server.

Double S.C.O.R.E. Daily Challenges this Weekend

Be sure to log in each day this weekend and complete your Daily Challenges to soak up as much S.C.O.R.E. as possible before Monday. Here are the event start and end times:
