Like any great composer, <a href="http://mick-gordon.com/">Mick Gordon</a> began with a full immersion into the essentials of his subject matter. For Gordon, that meant traveling from his home in Australia to id Software’s Dallas-based studio, having some good old-fashioned Texas BBQ with the developers… then slaying each other in heated rounds of Team Deathmatch. It’s all in a day’s work for Gordon, who then got started on crafting the score for DOOM. Ver

Hugo Martin is <em>flick-switching</em>. We’re seated in a small theater inside id Software’s Richardson, Texas, studio. We had just tried our hands at an early level in DOOM’s single-player campaign, and soon we would test our skills in a later level. But for now we’re in the dark, watching as DOOM’s affable Creative Director shows off for us. And, well, it’s <em>awesome</em>. Ver
