Wolfenstein: Youngblood

Teamwork makes the dream of a Nazi-free world work.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood features a multitude of series’ firsts – including the first co-op entry in Wolfenstein history, and it’s going to take the combined efforts of both Blazkowicz sisters to bring down the Nazi regime in Paris, both in-and-out of combat.

Reviving

You might get knocked down, but in Wolfenstein: Youngblood, you have the chance to get right back up again. If your sister’s health reaches 0, you’ll have a short window during which you can get to her and get her back into the fight. If she dies, one of your shared lives will be spent. Once all your shared lives are gone, it’s game over and you’ll need to restart the mission, so keep an eye on your twin and make sure you’re communicating with your co-op partner.

Pep Signals

Pep Signals are more than just hand gestures to tell your sister you’re okay—using the right Pep Signal at the right time can turn the tide of a fight! Pep Signals are inspirational actions that boost both you and your sister with powerful buffs and advantages, like throwing the horns to give you and your sister a health boost; giving a thumbs up to gain armor; or smashing your fists together to make both of you invulnerable!

More Pep Signals will become available as you progress through the game. Each player can select one active Pep Signal, and you need to be within a certain range for both players to benefit. Try combining using different Pep Signals with your partner to get the most out of them! After using a Pep Signal, it will recharge on a short cooldown.

The Pep Signals you can unlock throughout Wolfenstein: Youngblood are:

  • Health – Throw the horns to give you and your sister a health boost
  • Armor – Thumbs up for more armor
  • Health + Armor – Raise your fist in a cheer to give a smaller buff to both health and armor
  • Invulnerability – Bring it on! Smash your fists together and become invulnerable for a few seconds
  • Distant Revive – Encourage your sister to stand back up without needing to be next to her.
  • Damage Boost – Square up just like Anya and BJ showed you and get increased damage for 5 seconds
  • Damage Resistance – Punch your fist into your palm and you and your sister take half-damage for 10 seconds
  • Martial Arts – Completely refills health for you and your sister!
  • Cyborg 1980 – You and your sister regain all your armor!

Co-Op Actions: Keypads, Levers and Heavy Doors

Some areas in Wolfenstein: Youngblood will need you to work together to progress. You might come across a door that’s too heavy for one of you to open on your own, or an elevator that requires both players to pull a lever at the same time. Some keypads in the game will need one player to punch in a code that your sister generates from another machine somewhere else in the level. Be on the lookout for markers on your map and HUD that let you know when and where you need to lend your sister a hand! Coordination and communication here are key!

Taking Down Tough Enemies

Your average Nazi neosoldat might topple like a stack of floppy disks when blasted point-blank with a Blitzgeweher shotgun (and be left with just as many holes!), but larger and more heavily-armored enemies will require both twins to focus fire on them. Pay attention to enemy type and use the right weapons to break their defenses to bring them down.

Team up with a friend to kick Nazi ass when Wolfenstein: Youngblood launches on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Nintendo Switch on July 26. Pick up the Wolfenstein: Youngblood Deluxe Edition for a bevy of in-game bonuses plus the Buddy Pass, which will let you partner up with a friend even if that friend doesn’t own the game.
