RAGE 2 – July Wasteland Challenges
RAGE 2
The first major update for RAGE 2 is now live, and we’re keeping our Wasteland Challenges rolling into July with a sweet roster of new objectives and rewards. Remember, all you have to do to get rewards is take part in the weekly challenges. Each challenge kicks off on a Friday and you will need to be online and signed in with your Bethesda.net account in order to receive your prizes. Keep an eye on the RAGE Twitter account and the in-game Message of the Day to see the current challenge.
If you miss a challenge and its reward, don’t worry! We will be repeating certain challenges again in the future to ensure everyone has a chance to claim prizes like the Boom Bringer Mech, for example. Our first Wasteland Challenge Rewind is coming up, so check out the full lineup of events below for the details.
Global Worming Three-Part Event: June 28 – July 11
What’s that out there on the horizon? Oh shit. Is that a giant worm? You’re goddamn right it is. Just look at its teeth. There’s so many of them. It’s your job to hunt that thing down and kill it, but it won’t be easy. This is a three-part event with three separate rewards! Complete each of the phases within the allotted timeframe and you’ll receive all of the rewards.
- Phase One (June 28 – July 1): Drive off the Worm!
- Drive off the Worm in the name of the Trade Coalition and you’ll get 15x Nanotrite Boosters and 15x Life Glands.
- Phase Two (July 2 – July 4): Drive off the Worm Again!
- The giant nuisance has returned and it’s wreaking havoc. Get rid of it again for 15x Weapon Core Mods and the Apparition Shotgun Skin.
- Phase Three (July 5 – July 11): Kill the Worm!
- You very clearly told the Worm if it ever came back, you’d have to kill it. Well it’s back, and now you have to kill it and kill it good. Putting it down for good will definitely be worth it, though, because you’ll get the brand-new one-wheeler Armadillo vehicle.
You do not need to complete all three parts of the event in order to get specific rewards. For example, if you only want the Armadillo, you’ll just need to complete the third phase of the event. You'll receive all of the awards you've earned once the event has concluded.
Wasteland Challenge Rewind: July 12 – July 18
Didn’t get to take part in a past challenge, and therefore lost out on the sweet, sweet reward that came with it? You’re in luck. This week we’re offering you a second chance at love, by which we obviously mean we’re giving you the opportunity to collect all those past rewards in one go. Take out 1,000,000 Goons with the rest of the community and you’ll receive all the rewards to date (with the exception of the Worm-related rewards), plus the brand-new Burnout Assault Rifle skin.
Raining DOOM: July 19 – July 25
The Immortal Shrouded have been gathering data from the meteors dotted around the wasteland, hoping to further their own scientific research. The Trade Coalition can’t have that. Get out there and put their name to the test. Take out 1,000,000 Immortal Shrouded and the Trade Coalition will make it worth your while with the new DOOM Bringer Assault Rifle skin.
An Offer You Can't Resist: July 26 – August 1
There’s some shady business going down in the wasteland – both the Goon Squad and the River Hogs have come to you with enticing offers if you choose to fight their battles for them. For the next community challenge, you’ll have to pick a side. Take down the River Hogs for the Goon Squad and the Goons will reward you with the DOOM Bringer Shotgun Skin. Side with the River Hogs and they’ll offer up the DOOM Bringer Hypercannon Skin. Once the community takes down 2,000,000 members of either faction, the winning side will be chosen. All players will receive the winning skin, no matter who they end up backing!
