Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot – Beginner Tips & Tricks

It’s time to hack into some Nazi war machines and turn them against their masters. Take to the streets of Paris behind the proverbial wheel of a nimble Panzerhund, stealthy Drone and towering Zitadelle as you fight for the Resistance in the first-ever virtual reality Wolfenstein experience. Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot is now available on PC and PlayStation VR, and we’ve assembled some helpful tips to help you on your way.

Getting Started

• Spend some time getting to know each mech’s unique control scheme and abilities in the training room. There’s no time limit while in the tutorials, so get comfortable with maneuvering before hopping into the mission.
• HUD elements like your health and weapon heat are displayed as lights on the sides of your cockpit window. Make sure you keep an eye on them so you know when to heal or let your weapons cool.
• Before each mission, you’ll start out in the abandoned Nazi bunker. Be sure to explore different floors of the facility by using the lift lever on your chair in-game.
• There are Easter eggs waiting to be discovered throughout the game…

Panzerhund

• The Panzerhund is built for getting up close and dealing damage. Use the dash ability for a boost of ramming speed that can smash smaller enemies, then dish out damage with the flamethrower.

Drone

• The Drone is the most maneuverable machine you’ll pilot, with full vertical control. Use height to your advantage when sneaking around the Nazi facility.
• Pay attention to Nazi patrol patterns and time your movements accordingly to avoid detection. Make use of your cloaking device as well as the short-range electric attack to bypass or take down enemies in your path.
• When hacking, turn the controller slowly until you find the sweet spot, then hold it until your HUD shows green.

Zitadelle

• The Zitadelle is big, burly and heavily armed. Get in there and let those bullets and rockets fly, Cyberpilot! Just make sure your weapons don’t overheat or they’ll be offline for a brief second.

• Your shield/EMP has a moderate cooldown, so try and save it for times when you’re facing multiple enemies. (Or a big enemy!)   
  

• Take some time after every encounter to check if you need repairs. Healing up before the next battle is recommended.

More Tips

• Don’t forget your panic button!
• Once you’ve remembered the panic button, don’t just tap it; hit it like it’s your morning alarm.
• When you are in a tricky situation, don't forget to repair your robot. Simply plug your right controller into the repair slot on the right side of the chair and pull the trigger.
• Every weapon overheats. Go easy on the trigger and watch the overheat indicators on the side of the screen.
• When you complete an achievement, it unlocks also a doll in the hub. So, to get all collectable dolls, you just have to unlock all achievements!
• You can burn every Nazi flag in the game.
• If you are also playing through Wolfenstein: Youngblood, be on the look out for connections between the two games.
• Don’t forget to take regular breaks while playing extended VR sessions.
