With the official release of Fallout 4’s Creation Kit this past month, our friends at NVIDIA are launching an exciting new contest for modders and aspiring game developers.

The newly-announced FALLOUT 4 Mod Contest features prize packs for 20 modders, including a massive grand prize that includes $10,000, a custom-modded Fallout 4 PC, and engineering support for prospective developers from NVIDIA. Winners of each of the four mod categories (explained in further detail on NVIDIA’s blog) will get their hands on $5,000, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX GPU, and a Bethesda gift bag, which has a PC Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition, a Fallout 4 Funko Pop figure, a Fallout 4 bobblehead (bobblehead may vary), a Fallout 4 Nuka Cola hat (hat may vary), a Fallout 4 shirt (shirt may vary), and a Fallout 4 Vault Boy mask. And last but definitely not least, 16 finalists will bring home an NVIDIA GeForce GTX GPU, and a Bethesda gift bag with all the same goodies listed above.

How do you enter? Follow these steps:

  1. Download the Creation Kit
  2. Upload your mod with a screenshot and/or video here on Bethesda.net
  3. With your mod uploaded, submit your mod on the NVIDIA Fallout 4 Mod Contest Entry page before July 3, 2016.

From there NVIDIA will be selecting their favorite mods in four categories. It shouldn’t take long to recognize that they’re inspired by your Pip-Boy.

  • Status (dialog tweaks, audio add-ins, general patches, UI revamps, utilities, etc.)
  • Inventory (weapons, weapon adjustments, items, clothing, or others)
  • Data (anything Workshop Mode or quest-related)
  • Map (environmental mods such as vegetation, new structures or locations, weather-related, or similar)

If you’re interested in entering, get your mod submitted to their contest page by July 3, 2016. For full rules, terms & conditions, visit NVIDIA’s contest page.

New to modding? In the coming weeks and months, we will be bringing back a popular Bethesda community feature – weekly modding interviews. The interviews will provide valuable insight into the creations that make Fallout 4 more amazing than we could have ever imagined, and how the projects came to fruition. Come back next week to check out our first interview.
