Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or a newcomer to the world of archaeology and ex-ploration, everyone can use a helping hand from time to time.

We’ve assembled a collec-tion of tips and tricks for beginners and veterans alike to help you get the most of your expe-rience.

Exploration & Puzzles

• Explore Everywhere – Like a true archaeologist, check every nook and cranny for clues, key items or ancient mechanisms to get past perplexing puzzles. Often the so-lution to a puzzle is contained in notes found nearby.
• Use Your Journal – Every clue you uncover (including the tips Indy himself offers) is tracked in your journal, so don’t forget to refer back to it if you still aren’t sure what to do next.

• Fieldwork Quests – Side quests are essential for gaining experience and unique re-wards. Look for notes and clues scattered around the world to unlock these quests and keep track of them in the Fieldwork tab of your journal.
• Go Back – Did you forget something in an area you’ve already visited? You can use your journal to revisit locations if you want to do more exploring and complete side content in those areas.
• Adventure Books & Adventure Points – Pick up new skills or upgrade your existing skills by collecting Adventure Books and spending Adventure Points to unlock abili-ties. Adventure Books can be found around the world or purchased from vendors, and you can earn Adventure Points by exploring and collecting hidden items. You can also earn Adventure Points by snagging the right picture of specific objects or locations, so watch for the camera symbol on your screen. It will let you know when there’s something photo-worthy nearby.
• First Aid – Need to do a little emergency prep for your journey? There are free band-ages available from dispensers at the pharmacies.
• Extra Cash – Keep an eye out for padlocked moneyboxes as you explore. You can break into them with a well-placed gunshot or a hard melee item. There’s always a tool nearby.
• Get a Clue – Stuck on a puzzle? Pull out your camera for a little push in the right di-rection. Try different zoom levels and look around your environment slowly and care-fully until you find the perfect shot. Once you get your photo, Indy will offer his in-sights on what to do next.

Stealth & Combat

• Mastering Stealth – Don’t forget that stealth is always an option. Stick to the shad-ows and cover to avoid detection and use distractions to create opportunities for stealth takedowns. Learn patrol patterns and use your whip to move around above your enemies.
• Whip It – Whip-yanks and whip-cracks have different effects depending on where you are targeting the enemy. Yank an enemy’s ankles if you want to sweep them off their feet or crack your whip at an enemy’s eyes to send them staggering backwards in pain. Making the right tactical choice can even the odds when you are outnum-bered.

• New Content! – A brand-new Adventure Book has been added to the game on all platforms! Track down the "Sleight of Hand” Adventure Book and unlock the ability to steal enemies’ weapons with your whip. Pretty handy in a pinch.
• Hand-to-Hand – Learning when and how to grapple enemies is key to mastering hand-to-hand combat. While grappled, you can turn with the enemy and shove them into their comrades and cause a group stagger, or – if there happens to be a cliff nearby – you can give them a push.

• Just Don’t Get Hit – Parrying and dodging makes a huge difference in your success in combat. Learn which attacks you can parry, and which you need to dodge like grabs and heavy overhand attacks. Looking for an advanced parrying tip? Watch the hand your enemy is striking with, then use your opposite hand to land a hefty punch after hitting the parry button. If you attack with the same arm Indy just parried with, you’ll just shove your foe back.
• BOOM – Dynamite explosions can chain react, sending enemies flying in massive explosions. You can also shoot dynamite to set it off.
• Shhh – Sound draws attention. Be careful about using your gun in a fight (or setting off explosions) because it might attract other nearby enemies.
• Use Your Disguises – Disguises can be key when you’re trying to infiltrate an enemy base, and different disguises have different benefits. Other disguises have their own specific weapons, including a few different pistols. If your disguise weapon breaks, you can use repair kits.
• Go Classic – Of course, if you want to stick with Indy’s iconic look, you’ll have some benefits that your disguises don’t offer. When you are in the classic adventurer outfit, you have an extra bar of health and access to the Lucky Hat perk (provided you have it unlocked), which gives you the chance to survive an otherwise fatal blow.

• Diet Is Important – Food items can make a huge difference in survivability. For ex-ample, bread increases your health, while fruit boosts your stamina. If you are struggling in a fight, or looking to master the hidden fight clubs, eat a balanced meal first.

Customize Your Experience

Did you know that you can completely customize your difficulty experience in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle? Maybe you're looking for a grand adventure with slightly less challenging action. In your menu in the “Hud & Gameplay” tab, you’ll find two separate sections: Adventure Experience and Action Experience. Here you can tweak your overall action and adventure experiences as well as more granular facets like these:

• Objective Location Markers – By default, objective markers aren’t on your screen the whole time. By activating them, you’ll see them throughout your journey.
• Puzzle Difficulty
• Enemy Awareness Speed
• Enemy Damage
• Auto-Parry
• Number of Attackers (Melee and Ranged)
