When it comes to playing DOOM, there’s no looking back.
After all, the upcoming game is built around the notion of “push-forward combat.” But when it comes to developing DOOM? The latest game is part of a proud legacy. That’s something the team at id Software always considers while working on the game – and it was at the top of mind when Executive Producer Marty Stratton took the wraps off DOOM at our E3 2015 Showcase. We caught up with the DOOM team on our E3 Live Stage and asked them about fan reactions along with what matters most when it comes to honoring the legacy of this influential franchise.
“First and foremost, we take it super, super seriously,” Stratton says, adding: “It’s really fun to work on something that has that much meaning for people.” Or, as General Manager Garrett Young succinctly says, “DOOM is ours… but it’s also the world’s.” Find out more in this new video about the legacy of DOOM.
