Ghostwire: Tokyo players are in for a treat with the release of the Spider’s Thread update on April 12.
Along with a new rogue-lite game mode, extended story cutscenes, Photo Mode enhancements and more, players will take on new threats emerging in Tokyo’s supernatural streets.
Thankfully, the Spider’s Thread update is here to add some new abilities to your combat arsenal, allowing you to stay one step ahead of stepping into the spiritual world prematurely.
UNLEASH THE ALL-NEW CHARGE RUSH
Able to manipulate elemental energy to attack Visitors, Ethereal Weaving remains a critical skill for dealing with hostile Visitors. With the Spider’s Thread update, players can now unleash overclocked versions of each element they weave for powerful effects!
Push your abilities past its limit to barrage foes with rapid-fire wind attacks, freeze foes solid in their tracks with an icy blast or set them ablaze with a powerful flamethrower. While you’ll need to be in close proximity to your opponents for the maximum effect, a bold Charge Rush can make short work of many an unlucky Visitor.
DODGE, COUNTER AND STRIKE FROM ABOVE WITH NEW ABILITIES
That’s not all! The Spider’s Thread update contains additional new skills for player to master, helping them become the ultimate ghost hunter and help save Tokyo from paranormal chaos:
Perfect Guard Counter - Put up your Guard at the last possible moment to open foes for a devastating Counter Attack!
Quick Dodge - Dip and duck out of the way of projectiles, lunging attacks and other nastiness sent your way.
Aerial Quick Purge - Have a rooftop vantage over an unsuspecting Visitor? Initiate a Quick Purge from above to take out that foe quickly and discretely.
Ground Pound - Make a grand entrance with a charged attack from the skies! Hit a cluster of enemies for a massive area-of-effect attack!
Beware of Guard Breaks! - It’s not just you getting some new tricks. Certain enemy attacks can now cause a debuff preventing you from Guarding for a brief duration! Keep an eye out for Guard Breaking attacks by spying their telltale purple glow.
UTILIZE TWO NEW TALISMANS
It always pays to be prepared when traversing the streets of Ghostwire: Tokyo. In the Spider’s Thread update, we’re adding two highly useful Talismans to help on your adventure:
Updraft - Need a lift? Drop this talisman for a handy gust upwards to the city’s skyline.
Spirit Well - Stay stocked up on munitions for your Ethereal Weaving by summoning a pool that gradually restores your Ether!
