    This past month we teased it a bit early, and unfortunately a bug was discovered that required postponing Wild Horses. We're aiming to release it later this year once the issue is resolved.

    The date on the App Store is a placeholder date from Apple, The Elder Scrolls: Blades is slated for a Fall release.

  • September Update 06.09.18 Patch Notes

    The September game update includes a new map: Longest Yard; four new Arcade Modes; Quake 2’s Super Shotgun Vanity Skin “Trespasser” (named by you, our community!); Champion & Weapon balance changes; and performance improvements. We estimate the update process will take from 8AM EDT – 2PM EDT (11AM GMT to 6PM GMT).


    New Map: Longest Yard

    Only the power of the Rune of Black Magic prevents the floating ruins of Volkerh’s tabernacle from tumbling into the Blind God’s oblivion-maw.

    • The classic bottomless space map returns! Beware railguns and ringouts in this open area map where jump pads propel you to new heights and distant floating islands.


    A brand new way to queue up and play! The Arcade is a weekly rotation of rule modifiers that shake up how you play Quake Champions in fun, different ways. This month we’re introducing four new modes, one for each week of the month (in order of appearance):

    • Unholy Trinity Holy Trinity weapons only: the Rocket Launcher, Railgun, and Lightning Gun! This is the only mode with abilities disabled.
    • Hot Rockets Rocket Launchers only! Your own rockets won’t hurt you (so rocket jump to your heart’s content), but they’ll do triple damage to your enemies!
    • Mystery Champion Each time you respawn, you’ll come back to the Arena as a random Champion!
    • Team Instagib Now you can play this one shot, one kill mode with friends!

    New Weapon Skin: "Trespasser"

    Like a Berserker bursting out of a monster closet, the pump-action QUAKE 2 Super Shotgun likes to get up close and personal to its target, only to obliterate it.

    Our players suggested the name for this one based off the Quake 2 Berserker Strogg's famous voice line, and we just had to use it! 

    Bot Backfill support

    Bots will now fill in when players leave during a match to prevent uneven games.

    Party Queuing for Deathmatch and Instagib

    Want to frag your friends in free-for-all modes? Of course you do, and now you can! Players in parties can now queue up for Deathmatch and Instagib Quck Play modes. 


    In this update we’ve included a number of performance improvements:

    Gore System improvements – Decreases performance spikes caused by players respawning
    Logic optimizations – Reduces performance spikes upon respawn; score events; entity creation & destruction; and increases FPS
    Particle and Sound Effects optimization - Reduces hitching issues

    Longest Yard Map
    "Why is the Quad Damage powerup floating in the air where it cannot be reached?"
    This is known to occur when a player carrying Quad damage is killed in between a series of jumps.

    "Why does my performance drop in The Longest Yard?"
    There is a known issue where performance may drop when the player is looking towards the central area of the map. A workaround is to lower graphics settings. This is intended to be fixed in a future update. 

    Spectator Mode
    "I cannot stay on a particular player with the Spectator Auto-Follow camera."

    There is a known issue where Spectators in Auto-Follow mode cannot disable it using hotkeys. To disable Auto-Follow mode, switch to Free-Camera, or Fixed-Camera, and then back to the player you want to follow.

    Аркадные режимы

    Играйте по-новому! Аркадный режим — это наборы модификаторов игровых правил, которые меняются еженедельно и позволяют вам взглянуть на Quake Champions с новой стороны. В этом месяце мы представляем вам четыре новых режима — по одному на каждую неделю месяца (в порядке появления):

    Нечестивая троица
    Только святая троица оружия: ракетница, рельсотрон и молнемёт!

    Горячие ракеты
    Только ракетница! Ваши собственные ракеты не причиняют вам вреда (так что пользуйтесь ракетными прыжками, сколько душе угодно), а вот вашим врагам они наносят тройной урон!

    Загадочный чемпион 
    Каждый раз при возрождении вы продолжаете игру за нового — случайного — чемпиона!

    Командная Мгновенная смерть
    Всё, как и раньше: один выстрел — один труп, но теперь этот режим доступен и в командной игре!

    Новый образ оружия: “Грешник*”
    *Словно берсерк, выскочивший из «шкафа c монстрами», супердробовик из QUAKE 2 жаждет подобраться к своей жертве поближе, чтобы разнести её в клочья.*

    Система замены игроков ботами
    Боты будут заменять игроков, вышедших посреди матча, что позволит уравновесить составы команд и избежать возникновения неравных условий игры

    Улучшение производительности 
    В состав этого обновления входит ряд улучшений производительности:

    • Улучшения системы насилия — уменьшение скачков и спадов производительности игры во время возрождения игроков
    • Логические оптимизации — уменьшение скачков и спадов производительности во время возрождения, изменения счёта, создания и уничтожения объектов; увеличение частоты кадров 
    • Оптимизация звуковых эффектов и эффектов частиц — уменьшение проблем с появлением рывков

  • Settlement Ambush Kit Overview + Camera Patch Update

    Camera patch now live on PC

    This fixes the issue with extreme periods of time passing when using the camera. Let us know what you think in the overview discussion thread. We also appreciate the constructive bug reports people have been posting here on the forums.

    We don't currently have an ETA on this going live for XB1 or PS4, but will post any updates in this thread.

  • Would anyone else want to see Golden Saint and Dark Saducer Armor and weapons in Skyrim?

    There are some cool ideas here, and you do a great job of presenting a general idea without completely forgoing possible details. I don't normally respond to content suggestions, but I wanted to highlight this as it's great example of how to go about presenting ideas.

    As Bethesda doesn't dictate what projects our creators work on, we tend to respond more readily to community feedback than community content suggestions. (For example, it's been a while since CC content was deposited directly in your inventory, and acquisition quests tend to be far more involved now than they were at launch.) Content suggestions aren't ignored, but when they're passed along by us it tends to be in broad strokes. This is why we suggest that content suggestions either be general, or aim to be inspirational. I'd say the OP has done both.

    When I see a thread like this, what I primarily get from it is an interest in:

    • Returning Items - these have gotten a good response in the past (admittedly, so has new content)
    • Equipment Sets - tend to get a better response than single items, but this is usually a secondary consideration to the type of item or quest
    • Shivering Isles - we've drawn from this a few times already, which some have criticized, but the majority still seems pretty happy with Uncle Sheo's closet
    • Challenging Bosses - some people really like these, some don't, both sides are worth paying attention to

    Are the rest of the details ignored? Nope, although with creators driving content, the more specific the suggestion the less likely it's to be relevant when discussing a pitch. I'm in complete agreement that if we had either of these armor sets we should consider character reskins so Dark Seducers or Golden Saints can be added as enemies. If we do that, it's worth considering summons as well. Good suggestions, but specific enough they're unlikely to come up unless we pursue some style of daedric armor. On the other hand, a creator may like the general idea, and pitch something specifically so it can result in a new enemy or summons.

    The Settlement Ambush Kit offers new build options and interactive gameplay to help manage and defend your settlements. The main feature is a controlled ambush system that provides more challenging raids designed to test the limits of your defenses. Other features include a fully interactive home security system, customizable perimeters, and decorative assets.

    Whether your goal is to provide immersion, competitive gameplay, or more aesthetically pleasing settlements, the Settlement Ambush Kit offers you a wide array of options to enhance the overall gaming experience.



    The new ambush system provides a fun and challenging way to hone your combat skills and gather resources. Simply activate a fake distress signal or bait lure to begin the onslaught. Unlike a normal ambush, the attacks will continue until settlement morale drops to zero, or the signal beacon is turned off or destroyed.


    Each ambush is separated into waves and rounds. A single wave consists of ten rounds, culminating in a boss fight. In addition, a timer is attached to each round which impacts morale. Dispatching enemies quickly can provide a morale boost, whereas protracted battles can incur penalties that can result in defeat.

    As horde levels increase in scope and duration, you will be challenged to fend off the attackers on multiple fronts while protecting the health of your settlers, supplies, and defenses. Turrets may overheat and require repair, while attackers will be increasingly better armed and drop less ammunition. Morale must be maintained by rescuing downed settlers and keeping the settlement well populated.

    In order to mount a successful defense, you will need to take into account multiple factors with regard to defense, supplies, and morale. Creating an efficient defense system and managing your time wisely can be the difference between victory and defeat.

    Varied Challenges

    Each settlement provides its own logistical challenges based on the surrounding environment and the strength of the enemy waves. Settlements located in more hostile areas may encounter more threatening attacks. Larger settlements will become more difficult to defend as enemies will more easily penetrate the outer perimeter.

    Ultimately, the location and design of your settlement can have an impact on the difficulty of the ambush and the success of your defenses.


    If you manage a successful defense, the settlement will keep a record of your victory. After every ten rounds, you will be rewarded with a custom flag that will unlock higher difficulty ambushes. A total of five flags can be earned for each enemy type and built at the workshop. As each settlement keeps its own records, the flags you earn are not transferrable to other settlements.


    Should morale reach zero, the ambush will end and your settlement will be stripped of a share of its resources, including crops, water, scrap, and caps. As difficulty increases, so does the penalty for losing. Given the consequences, it's important to make sure you are adequately prepared before activating the ambush beacon.



    The Settlement Ambush Kit adds the following new build options to your workshop:

    Security Cameras

    The dynamic camera system allows you to monitor live security feeds across all your settlements. Simply attach cameras to strategic locations around your settlement and use the custom monitor to cycle through them. If a distant settlement is under attack, you can monitor the situation remotely.

    Shooting Gallery

    A custom shooting range offers a fun distraction for your settlers while boosting overall happiness. You can watch them practice their skills on the various targets or take a turn yourself to practice your aim.


    New exterior walls and watchtowers allow you to build a perimeter with modular pieces that fit together seamlessly. You can choose from angled or centered pieces that snap into place, creating a barrier that is both symmetrical and cosmetically pleasing.

    In addition, you can further customize your walls by dressing them with barbed wire or spikes. The walls are also designed to sink into the ground to provide a variable height to your perimeter fence.

    Alternatively, new sandbags and military barricades offer a protective barrier without sacrificing scenic views.


    The kit adds a handful of decorative items, including mortar shells and a fat man crate. The crate comes in two options, open and closed.     Looks like Wild Horses will be releasing later than the rest of the teased content. One of the risks of an early look at upcoming content is that sometimes things change. (This is one reason why we generally wait until we're close to launching before we'll tease anything.) 

    As an aside, this thread has a lot of general discussion on the state of CC, and this would be better off in a separate thread. It's reasonable for a discussion of upcoming content to drift in that discussion, but it shouldn't stay there. I haven't cleared out any posts, but if everyone could make an effort to keep this on topic.
